About
The Pregnancy Hypertension Awareness Center of South Carolina (PHAC SC) was established as a nonprofit organization on February 27, 2024, to provide awareness and critical resources for women and birthing people impacted by gestational hypertension.

PHAC SC provides community education and free access to self-monitoring blood pressure devices for women and birthing people at risk, diagnosed, and previously diagnosed with gestational hypertension. Our supportive services range from South Carolina's only maternal death fund providing funeral assistance for deaths related to a pregnancy-induced diagnosis, and the ROSE Program an evidence-based intervention to navigate maternal mental health.
We believe all women and birthing people diagnosed with gestational hypertension deserve access to self-monitoring blood pressure devices.
Our Mission
Raise awareness for gestational hypertension through education, community outreach, advocacy, and supportive services.
Our Vision
Accessibility through resource creation.
